The national park has also been the source of inspiration for Rudyard Kipling, for his remarkable creation-The Jungle Book. The best location is the Bammi Dadar, which is also recognized as the Sunset Point.

Also, there are more than 100 species of birds which include Eagle, fox, hyena, jungle cat, civets, porcupine, ratel or honey badger and hares along with reptiles, which includes like pythons, cobras, krait, rat snakes, vipers, keelbacks and grass snakes are nocturnal animals, and are therefore rarely seen.

Some of the commonly found reptiles in the park are king cobra, common cobra krait, green pit viper, blind snake and lizards are also found. Many colorful insects such as butterflies, moths, beetles, bees, wasps, bugs and cicadas are added attractions of the valley. The park is densely covered with lush greenery so much so as making it inaccessible to reach and explore every part of the park, making it one of the richest eco-systems in the country, with its impenetrable jungles. The eco-system in the park is comprised of tropical, sub-tropical, sub-temperate, and temperate vegetative systems.
